CO-
CREATING
WITH NATURE

It's in the process of making with our own hands, in touch with materials that come from nature, that we co-create with Nature. Is really  an opportunity to learn ancient forgotten techniques that artisans still guard and love to teach to artists, other artisans and designers, like it has been done for centuries.

Rainbow art Residencies International Program links the contemporary art practice with traditional artisan work based in iron traditional techniques, ceramic from Talavera de la Reina, Glass works, Raku ceramic techniques, Roman Mosaic traditional techniques, non silver Fine Art Photographic processes, Textile works. Our Goals are to work with artists, artisans and designers integrating natural material with traditional hand made technology  & contemporary art through a cross border participation.

Rainbow Art Residencies International Program aligns with the goals of Creative Europe by fostering cross-border collaboration and celebrating cultural diversity. Through our program, participants engage in the hands-on process of working with natural materials, co-creating with Nature and learning ancient, forgotten techniques. These valuable skills, preserved by artisans and passed down through generations, are shared with artists, other artisans, and designers, ensuring the continuity of these traditions.

Our program connects contemporary art practices with traditional craftsmanship, exploring techniques such as:

  • Traditional ironwork

  • Talavera de la Reina ceramics

  • Glasswork

  • Raku ceramics

  • Roman mosaic techniques

  • Non-silver fine art photographic processes

  • Textile arts

By integrating natural materials with traditional handmade techniques and contemporary art, we aim to:

  • Enhance cross-border cooperation among cultural operators, facilitating the exchange of skills and artistic practices.

  • Promote and preserve Europe’s cultural diversity through the revival of traditional crafts.

  • Stimulate innovation by merging traditional techniques with modern art practices.

  • Build capacity through workshops and training sessions, enhancing the skills of artists, artisans, and cultural professionals.

  • Develop new audiences and improve public access to cultural heritage, making art more inclusive and accessible.

  • Incorporate sustainable practices and ensure the program is inclusive, providing opportunities for marginalized or underrepresented groups.

  • Utilize digital technologies to enhance cultural experiences and foster new forms of artistic expression.

  • Support the mobility of artists and cultural professionals, enabling them to collaborate and create across different European countries.

  • Achieve long-term impact by generating sustainable outcomes that benefit the cultural and creative sectors beyond the immediate funding period.

Through these initiatives, Rainbow Art Residencies International Program contributes to a vibrant, diverse, and interconnected cultural landscape in line with the objectives of Creative Europe.
